The IEC is issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade in accordance with the rules set forth in the Export-Import Policy (EXIM) and the Foreign Trade Policy. Step 1: Go to the DGFT portal by typing the following URL into your browser. https://dgft.gov.in/CP

Step 2: Now you must select “Apply for IEC” from the drop-down menu. On your screen will appear a page with various blank fields.

Step 3: On the following screen, you will be required to provide personal information such as your name, address, and contact information.

Step 4: After completing the previous steps, choose “Send OTP” to receive a One Time Password from the portal on your phone and email address. Return to the portal’s home page and tap on the “Apply IEC” button again, this time using the correct login information.

Step 5: The Import Export Code form will show on your computer as soon as you access the login tab.

Step 6: Begin the filing process by inputting the ownership type and bank account information. (Note: the banking information that should be included in the form should be linked to an existing current account.) After that, be sure to save and next by uploading the soft copy of the canceled checkbook.

Step 7: Select “Preferred sectors of operations” from the drop-down menu, then Acceptance of Undertaking/Declaration. After you’ve made your selections, use the “Save and Next” button to continue the procedure.

Step 8: Finally, scroll down to the application’s last section and press the “Sign” button. Then proceed to fulfil the payment requirement by submitting the fees that have been required. You will be able to export rice to other nations once you have obtained this certificate.
